Late Shri Mr. Ramanbhai Shah was born on February 23, 1939, in a small village in Gujarat. After completing his high school education in his hometown, he relocated to Ahmedabad for higher studies. He married Ms. Bhanumanti Shah, and together they raised four beautiful children. Mr. Shah commenced his business from scratch and achieved significant success.
In April 1994, he relocated to the United States. Initially, he worked in warehouses and convenience stores for a few months. Subsequently, he enrolled in real estate classes and successfully obtained his license in September 1994. Due to his entrepreneurial spirit, he decided to establish his own real estate business.
In 1995, he was introduced to the president of one of the senior organization groups. He was subsequently nominated for a committee member position within the organization. Since then, he has dedicated his time to supporting the senior members. In 1999, he was elected president of the organization, where he spearheaded numerous activities and programs. In 2000, he established the senior organization of North America, the Federation of Indo-American Seniors of North America (FISANA).
In the year 2003, he established state-level senior organizations. Subsequently, he became the founder of the Indo-American Seniors Organization of New Jersey (IASONJ). Initially, IASONJ commenced with 39 seniors, and today, it boasts over 6,000 members.
As the President of IASONJ, he has undertaken commendable initiatives to benefit senior members. Notably, he orchestrated domestic and international tours for IASONJ members. Additionally, he organized annual summer picnics, Diwali parties, and various workshops and seminars. Furthermore, he facilitated stage plays for the members, fostering their self-confidence. His primary objective for IASONJ was to catalyze positive social change and provide tangible value to its members.
On the occasion of the organization’s tenth anniversary in 2013, IASONJ celebrated with a three-day gala event for its members and their families. Throughout his tenure as President, he consistently delivered value to members through the provision of information, advocacy, and services.
In the year 2021, he passed away in India. His legacy inspired many next generation to spread positivity and assist the elderly.
